Electric Fires

The Fireplace Superstore has been established since 1987 and has grown to become one of the largest fireplace showrooms in the world for high-end, designer, and luxury fires. Starting life many years ago in a small garage we originally gained a reputation as a reliable plaster molding manufacturer with a focus on ceiling roses and period plaster fireplaces. As the company grew in size we established our first showroom located in the seaside resort of Blackpool. Our product range originally included our in-house made period plaster products along with a small but popular range of gas and electric fires. We also featured a range of antique original fireplaces and accessories. We successfully occupied our showroom for 7 years and rose to become a prominent provider of quality gas and electric fires.

Our Founder and Managing Director John Coulthard relocated The Fireplace Superstore in 1994 to larger 4000 sqft showroom and warehouse facility which offered numerous advantages for our customers. The new showroom featured a larger distribution area that would facilitate our ever-increasing prominence throughout the UK. The public facing showroom was heavily improved and the increase in floor space allowed us to give our customers a larger live display of designer fires with more choice and variation.

Our showroom expansion allowed us to work with leading manufacturers and suppliers from the UK and across Europe. Over the next 9 years, our customer base and exposure increased further which fuelled the need for an even larger showroom and distribution center.

In 2003 the decision was made to move into a new 18000 sqft purpose-built complex opposite our original premises on the newly named Poulton Business Park in Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool and Preston in Lancashire. With over 3 times more showroom floor space we created an in-house design team to develop a showroom facility unlike any other previously seen in the industry. Our goal was to create a showroom that exhibited a range of fires from all of the leading manufacturers. We wanted to give our customers the option to view a wide range of various different types of fires and systems that would be available to them. We also invested heavily in building a small but knowledgeable team of experts who would be able to advise and assist customers with any questions they might have including choosing the right fire or stove for the room size and chimney setup.
